Boom Learning Comparing 3-Digit Numbers

I am teaching entering 3rd grade math this summer. Hopefully in person, but just in case I am getting things ready for a digital experience. We have iPads in class so I'll be ready either way.

This boom card set has 20 cards asking the student to compare two 3-digit numbers using greater than, less than, or equal signs. Every time they get a correct answer, they earn a scoop of ice cream for one of the friends. I think they will enjoy seeing the ice cream cones grow taller.

A Plethora of Place-Value

I am dreading having to get up tomorrow for my first day back. Thank goodness it is an in-service day so if when I am a zombie it won't matter too much. I may need to bring my Keurig to school to keep up with the massive amounts of caffeine my body will require to get through.

 We are starting place value this week so I made an I Have, Who Has game. Do you play this game with your students? I time us every time we play and we try to beat our best time.

In my math tubs I am putting my Place-Value Go Fish game ($2)

and my Prehistoric Place-Value ($2) which is similar to Race to 100. It includes 2 versions to differentiate, one using unifix cubes and one that requires exchanging units for rods.

 I don't get it. I bought Sephora by OPI so it isn't cheap and I used 2 coats and put the quick dry top coat on, too. What the heck am I doing wrong? Now I remember why I usually give up trying to be fashionable. I think I need a support group. Hello, my name is Jenn, and I am fashion-challenged.

Chapter 6 FREEBIE

I was so excited when I got back online to read Chapter 6 of Math Work Stations and it was on Place-Value -exactly what I am working on with the girl I am tutoring! You may recall that I made Place-Value Go Fish to use with her last week. So here is my version of Race to 100 (or 50) that Debbie mentions in her book. I had to change the name to use my cute dino clip-art!

I included the easier version where trains are made with unifix cubes and the harder version which requires the students to EXCHANGE 10 ones for a ten and uses base ten blocks.
