I am still too chicken to post anything to my blog. I have to add cute fonts and clip art to mine after seeing everyone else's mind boggling creativity!
This is fabulous! Thanks for sharing! Do you meet with the advanced group doing this everyday? Or do they read some on their own, work a bit in their book, and then meet with you to discuss? I love the thought going into each book!
Heidi, I meet with my highest group on Monday, introduce the book and the packet, and assign the chapters and corresponding packet questions. I quickly check in with them during the week to make sure they are doing OK but we don't formally meet again until the next Monday. Then we discuss their packet answers and the book. It is working for me. I am even going to try doing it with my 2nd highest group so we'll see how that one goes!
Oh this is sooo cool! Thanks for sharing!!!!!! I need duplicate copies of the book.... Scholastic here I come! When I do start this, I want to have a book club lunch meeting. I think that would be really fun for them. Love it!!
you tried to help me add documents to my blog a few weeks back...I finally figured it out but can only post a link. (can't view the actual document) Any advice? debjordan47@optonline.net
These are wonderful!! I always struggle with what to do with my high reading groups. I'm going to order these books tonight!! Do you have any other book club packets?
Heather, I posted another packet for The Chalk Box Kid for free on Teachers Pay Teachers. I'd love it if you would leave me some positive feedback. :-)

I LOVE this! I was looking for some more independent activities for my high kids, and this is perfect. Thanks!
