I'm chalking it up to a rainy day and a LONG week. I like the timer idea. My class only got 5 minutes (instead of 20) one day because they were "playing during our learning time". After only 2 1/2 weeks, they fully understand that we have to get our work done and stay on track in order to have enough time to play outside. I share with them that "every minute is on purpose" in our day.
